N0V3L Announces Debut LP ‘NON-FICTION’

N0V3L's 2019 self-titled EP was high on our list of releases that year. Now the Canadian band have announced news regarding their forthcoming debut album 'NON-FICTION'. Landing May 28th, the 11-track record will span the sounds of post-punk, garage rock, new wave and even funk. Sonically the new LP will also be darker than the band's past work.

IDLES Cover Sharon Van Etten’s ‘Peace Signs’ Song

Bristol mainstays IDLES have shared a new cover of the Sharon Van Etten cut 'Peace Signs'. The original version appears on Van Etten's 2010 LP 'Epic'. Beefing up the instrumentation with their colossal brand of punk, IDLES deliver thundering drums underneath whipping guitar lines, all topped off with front man's Joe Talbot's in your face delivery.

Listen to Whispering Sons’ ‘Satantango’ b/w ‘Surgery’

Having dropped their single 'Surface', Belgian post-punk band Whispering Sons now bring forth two more cuts entitled Satantango' and 'Surgery'. Both songs are taken from their upcoming album 'Several Others', out June 18th via PIAS. Definitely trekking on the dark side of sound, 'Satantango' kicks off with a repeated drum kick and whirling bass line before lashing guitar lines whip in among the stark vocals of front woman Fenne Kuppens.

Alan Vega ‘Nike Soldier’ Video

The Sacred Bones label will release a lost album by legendary artist Alan Vega. The LP entitled 'Mutator' will land on April 23rd. What is the first in a series of archival recordings, the upcoming release was recorded with Liz Lamere, who along with Jared Artaud of The Vacant Lots, discovered the material in the vaults.

East London trio deep tan have released their new single 'camelot', taken from their forthcoming debut EP 'creeping speedwells' landing June 4th via Practise Music.. The follow-up cut to their song 'deepfake', 'camelot' is a whirling post-punk handing that is spacious in production, flaunting a juicy, hypnotic bassline and prickling guitar riffs.

The Lounge Society ‘Cain’s Heresy’ Video

Yorkshire band The Lounge Society represent all things good with post-punk. They dropped their stellar single 'Burn The Heather' back in November of last year. With their debut EP 'Silk For The Starving' landing June 18th on the Speedy Wunderground label, the group have shared their latest video 'Cain's Heresy'.
