Amsterdam-based group CUT_ have unveiled a new single entitled ‘Cry’, which is out now on [PIAS] Recordings. A high-striding marriage of pop, R&B and electronica, the infectious track is bursting through the seems with personality. Singer Belle Doron’s charismatic swagger flows seamlessly over shifting synths and bouncy drums, which actually sporadically changes into different head-nodding programming. CUT_ have definitely been on fire over the past few years and it doesn’t seem like the blaze is dying out anytime soon.

Touching on the single, Belle Doron stated:

“‘Cry’ talks about being close to a friend in a certain state of mind. A feeling of extreme emotion, crying in the kitchen when no one’s watching. Curling up on the bathroom floor and just feeling sad for oneself. A state blinded by emotion, but when that person comes out of it you are there as a friend. You never left. You patiently waited and supported. ‘Cry’ is an ode to friendship.”
