Copenhagen’s master of electronic moods, Trentemøller, makes his return with a brand new single titled ‘Swerve’ featuring vocalist Sakura. The song is taken from his forthcoming self-titled album, which is out November 13th on his In My Room imprint. The record is the follow-up to Trentemøller’s 2024 release Dreamweaver.

With ‘Swerve’, what you get here is a moody soundscape that finds Trentemøller doing what he does best, which is fusing atmospheric electronica with post-punk sonics, resulting in a cinematic offering.

Touching on the single, Trentemøller said:

“Swerve was the first song I wrote for the record. I had the vocal melody in my head pretty quickly, and the whole thing, chords and guitar riff, came to me fast. I wanted it to be brutal and beautiful at the same time, to almost shock the listener when the guitars and everything kick in during the first bars. Sakura’s vocal fits so well it almost becomes an instrument in itself. I knew instinctively it should open the record, since I think it’s pretty defining for the album’s sound.”
