Berlin synth-punk outfit Die Anstalt are reissuing their 2025 debut self-titled album on September 25th via City Slang. One of the songs that was originally featured on the LP was ‘Isolation’, which has now been slightly beefed up musically and re-released.

Whilst the blueprint of the song is still in tact, the updated version is accompanied with spaghetti western guitar lines, sweltering synths, and a more overall pronounced sound uptick that gives a weightier feel.

Touching on ‘Isolation’, Die Anstalt’s Carmen Redeker said:

“Isolation isn’t about the physical concept of being cut off, but rather the value that society ascribes to you. It’s about a system that constantly demands proof from you: You’re only worth something if you achieve something. Our parents all grew up with this stigma and pass it on to us. So the pigeon flies, the rat runs, and in the end, no one is allowed to stand still. Right now, it feels as though this very system is gradually collapsing.”
