San Francisco band Tycho have announced the release of their new instrumental album Simulcast, landing February 28th on Mom + Pop / Ninja Tune. The record will include new remakes of tracks taken from their 2019 GRAMMY Award-nominated LP Weather, which previously featured vocalist Saint Sinner.

Tycho have also shared a new single titled ‘Outer Sunset’, which is the leading track taken from Simulcast. The gentle and melodic tune is a dedication to the area of San Francisco which sits near the ocean.

Regarding the new album, Tycho founder Scott Hansen stated:

“A Simulcast is the transmission of a program across different mediums and in different languages. With these two albums I wanted to present the same ideas in two languages, one more literal and the other more open to interpretation. Simulcast expands on the concepts laid out in Weather but shifts into the abstract with instrumental soundscapes in place of lyrics, opening up a visual space and translating the message into a new language.
