In celebration of the 40th Anniversary of The Clash’s Sandinista! album, released on December 12th 1980, their song ‘The Magnificent Seven’ has been given an official video treatment. Directed by Don Letts, there are clips of The Clash’s performance on Tom Snyder’s The Tomorrow Show. There is also footage from the band’s residency at Bond’s International Casino in New York City which ran between May and June of 81. The classic footage is extraoridnary, highlighting a sample of The Clash’s impact of the early 80s music scene. Have a look.
