Let’s face it, every December the Christmas songs come pouring in, with many of them being just plain cheesy. However, Manchester band PINS have decided to contribute to the Xmas list of tunes by actually doing a cover version of the Ramone’s ‘Merry Christmas (I Don’t Want To Fight Tonight)’, originally taken from their 1989 LP Brain Drain. Changing up the vibe completely, PINS transform the Ramone’s raw punk version into more of subtle offering with full, lush instrumentation and soaring melodies. We definitely approve this Christams as one that should play during the holiday party. That is, if the pandemic situation allows it. Have a listen.
