Manchester band The Slow Readers Club have shared their explosive, new single 'All I Hear', taken from their upcoming album 'The Joy Of The Return', out March 20th on Modern Sky UK. Musically the song exudes a distinct spirit of the sound of Manchester with the production being a mixture of pop, dance, post-punk and more.
One band to be excited about is Brooklyn trio The Wants, the other group of Bodega's Madison Velding-VanDam. Releasing a number of tracks including 'Clearly a Crisis' and 'Fear My Society', they are spreading pure post-punk goodness. Their latest song 'The Motor' is no exception. Powered by a funky bass line, slick guitar riffs and head-nodding drums, the song is a revving piece that plays with a sinister feel yet is upbeat and dance-friendly.
Flamboyant Seattle band Tacocat have shared their new single 'Retrograde', taken from their latest album 'This Mess Is a Place'. Whilst extremely short in length, topping out at just under two minutes, the song is a thundering gem, pumping with a rumbling bass line and severing guitar riffs with pop melodies layered above all.

With a thundering bass line setting off the song, sinister guitar lines and crushing drums quickly follow as the trio deliver steamrolling punk as bold as ever. Singer Tommy Cherrill pumps put thought-provoking lyrics of various lessons of life in a punchy and in your face delivery. One of the more dynamic groups in the genre, Guru is what the punk and post-punk scene needs right now.
Having released a slew of music bubbling with seductive new wave, post-punk and more, including their excellent '8' EP, London's Giant Party make their return with their latest track entitled 'I Know You're Gonna Let Her Down'. An epitome of sexiness, the band incorporate enticing guitar riffs and shimmering synths, teetering between bar rock and Prince-esque funk.
On paper, the thought of fusing industrial, post-punk and dance with Balearic influences could seem a bit suspect. However, London-based band Two Tribes have managed to pull it off with there latest single 'Videodrone'. The song follows their previously released track 'Zone'. Drawing inspiration from not only an early 80s synth palette, 90s rave is also embedded in the production that is ethereal and quite blissful.
