At the moment Jehnny Beth’s forthcoming album ‘To Love Is To Live’ is one of our most anticipated releases of this year. The singer, radio host, author and actress has previously dropped two killer singles, ‘I’m The Man’ and ‘Flowers’, both accompanied with amazing videos. She now unveils her third cut titled ‘Innocence’, which is also attached to a video. Directed by Andreas Neumann, the footage captures Jehnny Beth and the band performing the song live during a rehearsal. Now mind you, it literally looks like a concert. Musically the tune embodies a musical brutalism that rages with intensity, yet shifts to these more subtle and gorgeous breakdowns before revving up again. Jehnny Beth is one of those rare, modern acts who walks risk-taking roads like David Bowie whilst giving us the all-around package of what a great artist should look, sound and feel like.
