At this point there isn't much more to say about Black Thought that hasn't been said before. Unquestionably one of the greatest emcees in Hip-Hop of all time, the Philly wordsmith has been giving fans a great amount of releases with projects like the Danger Mouse collaborative LP 'Cheat Codes' and his 'Streams of Thought' series.
With all of the 'G.O.A.T' talk that has been an ongoing thing in Hip-Hop for decades now, Black Thought is finally being acknowledged as nothing less than a Top 5 emcee, and more than rightfully so.
One of the most anticipated Hip-Hop albums for us is the Danger Mouse and Black Thought collaborative record 'Cheat Codes', which is out August 12th.
Recently Black Thought announced the release of his anticipated album collaboration with producer Danger Mouse. Originally titled 'Dangerous Thoughts', the LP has now been changed to 'Cheat Codes' and is set to land August 12th. This release follows Black Thought's 2020 'Streams of Thought Vol. 3:Cane & Able'.
Black Thought is considered to be one of the greatest emcees of all time, and rightfully so. Whilst the ever long debate of who is in the Top 5 list have been on going for years now, there has to be something said for when an emcee is literally praised by most of rappers who are even considered in the category!
The hardest working band in show business, The Roots, are back with a new single taken from their forthcoming LP "And Then You Shoot Your Cousin". The song "When The People Cheer" features Black Thought (who in our opinion, is one of the best emcees to do it) and P.O.R.N aka Greg Porn on the verses, while a melodic piano riff plays. Judging by the track, The Roots appear to have musically continued the sound and mood of where "Undun" left off. The new album is out May 13th on Def Jam.
