Pao Pestana’s ‘San Menace’ is a Thrilling Ride

Pulling from both her Venezuelan background as well as her current London-based home, artist Pao Pestana steps forth with her new single ‘San Menace’, out now on Big Indie Records.

Delivering vocals in both Spanish and English, Pao Pestana effortlessly glides over the head-nodding electronica meets art pop production. Quite the musical ride, there are drum change-ups which include echoing claps, running guitar riffs, broken synth lines and more. Pestana’s multiple flows gets delivered like an instrument itself, brilliantly complimenting the musical landscape. A magnificent offering from the rising singer, you can stream ‘San Menace’ below.

Touching on the single, Pao Pestana said:

“I wanted to write something fiction/a thriller, so I thought, ‘what if technology was human?’ The internet knows more about us than we do–how to make us happy or how to trigger us–and I find that terrifying. San Menace is that character; it represents the good and the bad.”
