Back in 2021 Danish artist Lydmor released her CAPACITY LP. The record was a collaged work of electro, indie pop, and electronica, finding the Copenhagen-based artist expanding her musical palette. Lydmor is now gearing up for to release her sixth studio album titled Nimue. Landing this year, the LP is inspired by nature with Lydmor incorporating field recordings of things such as ocean waves, and more. Aside from including original tracks, Nimue will also feature a number or remakes and covers.

To warm everyone up for the new album, Lydmor has shared an acoustic version of her 2019 song ‘LSD Heart’. This new reworking is led by theatrical piano play which adds even more edge to the lyrical content which tackles an array os sociological issues. A contrast to the head-nodding and experimental original version, this new acoustic rendition is moody as well as undoubtedly engaging.

Touching on the upcoming album, Lydmor stated:

“I knew, I had to create music without the possibility of hiding myself behind layers of sounds and endless editing.I needed something real with room for everything that’s beautiful, unpleasant, intimate and free. It was a frightening but necessary process to me, that instantly developed into a no break kind of get-mad-or-die-trying session of hugging and fist fighting myself.”
