Leon III, the band comprised of Andy Stepanian and Mason Brent, have carved a lane for themselves infusing a bluegrass and country with the sounds of indie, psych, folk and more.

With their forthcoming album Antlers In Velvet landing March 5, 2021, the duo have unveiled a unlikely remix of their single ‘This Whisper Is Ours’ courtesy of none other than dub icon Lee ‘Scratch’ Perry. What makes this rework interesting is that Perry gave just enough of his signature dub imprinting without compromising the roots of the original version, making this a killer version. This sonic mesh is so good that we would hope for the possibility of a collaboration project between the band and Lee ‘Scratch’ Perry. Whilst that may or may not ever manifest, at least there is this remix to shine light on the possibilities. Have a listen.
