With vocalist Joshua Idehen having released so many amazing records with LV, his bands Benin City, Hugh, and Calabashed, it’s hard to believe that he has never dropped a solo project. Well the good news is that, now he has. Idehen has unveiled his new single ‘Don’t You Give Up On Me’.

‘Don’t You Give Up On Me’ is an absolutely beautiful mosaic of jazz and electronica that is powered by gorgeous piano lines, tender 4×4 drums, and big gospel vocals on the chorus. Joshua Idehen’s spoken word/emcee delivery touches the spirit with the overall single being a warming and soul reaching experience. With a reputation of nothing less than quality music, Idehen continues to elevate, shine and push music into forward-thinking territory.

Regarding ‘Don’t You Give Up On Me’, Joshua Idehen said:

“This was the first beat Ludvig [producer] sent me, and I pretty much finished the lyrics by that days end. It’s a poem about second chances and forgiving yourself. Maybe it’s just me, but I feel people are too quick with
each other these days: I know I’ve been guilty of it at times. this is a plea for a bit more patience with each other, and for me to be a bit more patient with myself.”
