Back in September of 2015 UK-raised, Berlin-based producer Emika launched her How To Make A Symphony Kickstarter fund, in which proceeds would go towards her first symphony recording with the Prague Metropolitan Orchestra. The goal has now been met with 499 backers contributing €25,470. The original aim was €20,000. The recording process will begin January 30 and 31st.

In a press statement, Emika wrote:

“I’ve found 499 people who are willing to take the risk with me in creating truly fresh music in a fresh way. No one knows how it will sound – yet everyone is invested in the music from the start. This is post music industry heaven for the independent creatives. I’m hugely thankful to the backers, my fans, and Kickstarter for making this possible.”
