Rising Toronto star Debby Friday has announced the release of her new album The Starrr Of The Queen Of Life. The LP is slated to drop August 1st via Sub Pop. To coincide with the news, she has also shared her new single and video ‘All I Wanna Do Is Party’.

Directed by Kevan Funk and Debby Friday herself, the video finds the singer in a dance class trying to perform under the constant watch of the instructor. Towards the end these stars appear on the dancers, all giving them this burst of energy, dancing like they never have before.

Touching on the visuals, Debby Friday said:

“The video is really about discipline and craft. It’s about the transformations that happen when you devote yourself to a process over time. The starrr is a metaphor for all these thoughts I have around fame, success, failure, love, power, god, death, life, everything. My starrr is in me, and your starrr is in you, and it’s just a matter of surrendering to it.”
