Celine creative director Hedi Slimane brings the brand’s latest menswear collection back to his love of punk, yet incorporating large elements of glam rock into the mix. With Celine’s latest autumn/winter 2022 menswear collection and campaign dubbed ‘Boy Doll’, Slimane continues to play with the idea that clothing can simultaneously straddle the line of that which is masculine and feminine.
For the ‘Boy Doll’ runway show, models strut the catwalk in pieces ranging from oversize leather blazers, skinny leather trousers, and biker jackets. Glitter, sequins and studs are prominent in the collection, with each decorating boots, sheer tops, and even pullovers. Of course no glam-influenced collection would be complete without gold pieces. Overcoats, shirts, boots and tailored trousers all get splashed in gold shimmer.
Stockholm’s Shitkid provides the soundtrack to the runway show.
