Working Men’s Club have released their highly anticipated album Fear Fear which follows their critically acclaimed 2020 self-titled debut LP.
Fear Fear finds the band continuing to foster a gumbo of sounds ranging from UK rave, new wave, synth-pop, and post-punk. The darker themes revolving around the subject matters are met with romantic yet dystopian dance-driven production that simultaneously fosters a nostalgia of multiple decades, all the while perfectly suited for the now. Whilst some of the previously mentioned genres are indeed planted in their sonic soil, Working Men’s Club have also garnished the LP with UK garage, and broken beat-style drums, crafting a brilliant packaging of simply great British music. With ten songs in total on the record, you’ll find yourself desperately craving more.
Fear Fear is out now on Heavenly Recordings.
