It’s hard to believe that it’s been 16 years since Copenhagen band When Saints Go Machine released their debut album Ten Makes a Face. Having gained chart success with follow follow-up records, including their 2023 LP Rosy, When Saints Go Machine now make their return with the double single pack ‘Chainsaw / Trying’.

While ‘Chainsaw’ has an upbeat tempo, the cosmic synth stabs give the track and atmospheric and otherworldly feel. It’s a brilliant stir of electronica and pop, fostering a fine meeting ground. ‘Trying’ finds When Saints Go Machine slowing down the tempo delivering a heartfelt track about love leading the charge.
