Stockholm band Vero are scheduled to release their debut album Unsoothing Interior on May 6th, which will land via PNKSLM.
Having previously shared the tracks ‘Cupid’ and ’22:12′, the group now bring forth their latest single ‘Heather’. The slow, haunting offering meshes the sounds of post-punk, alternative and even aspects of grunge. Whilst sinister guitar lines creep throughout the duration of the cut, the instrumentation gets a bit brighter during the chorus, with a tad bit of pop vocals off-setting the darker aspects.
Below is a stream of ‘Heather’.
Detailing ‘Heather’, Vero mentioned:
“The lyrics are about shamelessly wanting to be somebody’s object of desire” the band comment. “You want to be played with, be given commands, amused, but also be told you’re the one. We wrote about this sensation in different ways, describing the good, the bad and the ugly that comes with it.”
