Avant-garde artist, producer and musician Ben Foskett will release his forthcoming album HEART PUMP on July 8th via the Crushed To Dust label. The record follows Foskett’s 2021 LP ‘Songs of Searching’. Recorded in London and Paris, the album features legendary producer/musician Leo Abrahams.

Ben Foskett has also unveiled his latest single and video ‘Fly Superman Fly’. An edgy sliding of noise rock, post-punk, and no wave, the track continues the artist’s line blurring of genre, widening his palette of experimentalism. The video itself is a conceptual piece directed by Delphine Ciavaldini who mentions: “I wanted to work with an image that at first seemed elaborate and sophisticated and in sync with the delirium of the song, but afterwards we realise the banality and simple nature of the images used. In the same vein I wanted to highlight the clash between the fantastical and the ordinary; Superman in a laundry—a place as ordinary as any.”

Touching on the track, Ben Foskett said:

“Fly Superman Fly’ in some ways talks about our handing over of control or responsibility to some kind of saviour, which is something we all do willingly in society every day. In times where it just doesn’t seem like there are those kinds of figures around—if ever they existed—what do you do? It’s about that desire to take back control of something that isn’t working and rely on oneself to make things work. This song is balanced on the cusp of that action, the energy that drives us to change.”
