Top Pick: deep tan ‘camelot’

East London trio deep tan have released their new single ‘camelot’, taken from their forthcoming debut EP creeping speedwells landing June 4th via Practise Music. The follow-up cut to their song ‘deepfake’, ‘camelot’ is a whirling post-punk handing that is spacious in production, flaunting a juicy, hypnotic bassline and prickling guitar riffs. If you can listen closely, you can hear bits of coldwave embedded. Factor in the sassy vocal performance and you have an all-out fantastic release.

Touching on the single, deep tan mentioned:

“‘camelot’ is an unashamed tribute to ‘the sesh’. A group of people have just been evicted with only 48hrs notice, leading them to have one last rager in order to forget about the stress of not finding a new home with such short notice. Coming in at less than two minutes, the frenetic energy of the track sets the scene for total obliteration.”
