It’s hard to believe that it’s been ten years since the release of The Weeknd’s Echoes of Silence mixtape. In commemoration of the project, Abel has released a new video for the title cut which continues his onslaught of high cinematic visuals. Enlisting Hajime Sorayama as creative director, the CGI heavy video is stacked with a slew of sexy robots amongst a dystopian looking city.

Revisiting the mixtape, it’s easy to hear The Weeknd’s influence on what would be an entire generation of artists using hypnotic, trippy and otherworldly sounds.
