Check Out Dear Reader’s Cinematic Single ‘Then Not Now’

South African art pop songstress Cherilyn MacNeil aka Dear Reader has shared a lyric video for her new single 'Then Not Now', which is taken from her new album 'Day Fever', landing February 24th via the City Slang imprint. Filmed in Berlin with Annie Boman, the projection of lyrics coincide with the cinematic production teetering between pop and electronica, each glazed with post-classical tastings. The rawness of the track reflects the recording process of MacNeil's new album, recording each track to tape rather than the previous digital process.

South Africa's Cherilyn MacNeil better known as Dear Reader drops the official video for her track 'I Know You Can Hear It'. Directed by Annikki Heinemann, the vid revolves around the idea of death in which Dear Reader and her band act as those who will help a guy who has passed away make that final voyage to the afterlife. Interestingly enough, that next stage involves dancing.

Yasiin Bey Discusses Arrest in South Africa

Yasiin Bey has shared a freestyle regarding his recent arrest in South Africa. Posted via kanyewest.com, the Brooklyn-born rapper and actor further went into a lengthy discussion about being unfairly locked up without a clear answer why, as well as wanting to leave and go home. Bey also talked about how the state is currently preventing him from his professional obligations, as well as retiring from the music and film industry. According to the artist, his final album will be released this year.
