Deidre & the Dark Release Her Debut Album ‘Variety Hour’

Brooklyn-based singer Deidre Muro aka Deidre & the Dark has released her debut album 'Variety Hour'. Consisting of 10 tracks, musically the LP weaves between 60s pop, soul and indie. Whilst there is definitely a vintage tinge to Muro's sound, the album finds a nice sweet spot between classic and the modern. The album follows Dierdre Muro's previous singles 'Bad Day' and 'One Night' which landed back in 2018.

Amber-Simone Shares Her Soulful Cut ‘Only You’

Amber-Simone makes her return with her latest single 'Only You'. Like the sounds that she grew up listening to, the track is a ripe and feel-good dose of funk and soul. Slick bass line thumps, sticky guitar riffs and sparkling keys all come together cohesively as Amber-Simone comfortably skates over the production with her milky voice. MJ Coles Shares His Atmospheric Single ‘Waking Up’ Ft. Freya

Having released his 'Foundations' EP back in October of this year, UK garage legend MJ Cole is prepping for the second EP in the series titled 'Waking Up', scheduled to land in 2019. To coincide with the news, Cole has shared the title track, which is also the leading single taken from the upcoming record. Enlisting singer Freya to provide gorgeous vocals on the song, production wise, the cut is rich with depth, emotionally charged as tender piano play is the foundation before an epic build-up in the tune. Whilst the production is rich, steamy and soulful, Gold incorporates a pop chorus, giving the track an added texture.

Based in Cork, Ireland, Shookrah is a band that should be on everyone's radar. Blending together soul, spacey funk and more, their sound sparks glorious memories of the future jazz scene of the mid-2000s led by cutting-edge acts like 4Hero, Jazzanova and Bugz In The Attic, just to name a few. Shookrah released their 'Clichés' EP back in 2017, followed by their single 'Don't Wanna Doubt You' this past summer.

Roses Gabor ‘I Could Be Yours’ Video

Over the years North London vocalist Roses Gabor has collaborated with a number of artists including Shy FX, Sampha and the Gorillaz, just to name a few. She has also released incredible solo cuts such as 'Stars'. Now with a debut album 'Fantasy and Facts' finally scheduled to be released early next year, Gabor has shared a new single and video titled 'I Could Be Yours'. Directed by Sophie Jones, the gorgeously shot video, rich in tones, features two guys using the art of dance to battle, whilst Roses in other scenes sit in a van with a shirtless guy. The balance between tenderness and aggression is displayed throughout the video all wrapped in a tightly packaged display of art. Check it out.
