Based in Cork, Ireland, Shookrah is a band that should be on everyone’s radar. Blending together soul, spacey funk and more, their sound sparks glorious memories of the future jazz scene of the mid-2000s led by cutting-edge acts like 4Hero, Jazzanova and Bugz In The Attic, just to name a few. Shookrah released their Clichés EP back in 2017, followed by their single ‘Don’t Wanna Doubt You’ this past summer.

Making their return, Shookrah have now unveiled their latest track ‘Flex’. An utterly grooving serving of cosmic soul peppered with atmospheric keys, funk-led guitar licks and the succulent vocals of singer Senita Appiakorang, ‘Flex’ is a wonderland of musical goodness that is totally addicting.
