Sacramento band Destroy Boys have released their new album 'Make Room'. The latest work finds the group slightly toning down from their raw, punk-driven album 'Sorry Mom', yet rather expanding the sound to a wider palette. Whilst of course you can still expect lively guitar play, there are more intricate compositions as well bigger and varied vocal deliveries that reflect a more mature approach. Their best work yet, Destroy Boys are ready to enter the bigger arena of the mainstream without losing the core elements of what made them originally exciting to fans.
London-based artist Annabel Allum has been a force since making her debut a few years back. Releasing her incredible EP 'All That For What' back in 2017, Allum delivers her latest track 'Sofa Song'. Raw and punchy, the song is injected with a shot of grunge, with the artist pumping out woozy vocal deliveries, demonstrating her incredible versatility of styles. The track coincides with Annabel Allum's which began in Newcastle on October 9th and will run until October 30th, ending in London.
Eliza Shaddad delivers the visual treatment to her brilliant song 'Just Goes to Show'. Directed by Patrick Taylor, Shaddad performs the track in a 90s school prom setting. Meanwhile a group of people dance in the background before a gentleman kindly grabs Eliza's hand to dance with her. With a prominent career that started back in 1994, London band Skunk Anansie will release a new live album titled '25LIVE@25'. A collage of live sets throughout the years, sewn together by Jeremy Wheatley, the record also highlights the group's 25 year career run which is still going strong. Landing January 25th, 2019 on Republic Of Music, Skunk Anansie have also released a new video of their 1996 classic 'Weak'.

Watching a live show of New York band Mother Feather feels like you're engaging in rock & roll performance art. Aside from the obvious visual presentations of front woman Ann Courtney and singer/keyboardist Elizabeth 'Lizzie' Carena - which include stark make-up combined with a bold fashion flair, their performances are wild, energetic and ultimately free. Musically the group, which also features guitarist Chris Foley, bassist Seth Ondracek and drummer Gunnar Olsen, has been dubbed by the press as purveyors of the classic New York City rock sound whilst effortlessly giving it their own modern stamping.
Leeds art-punk band Dead Naked Hippies have shared the video for their blazing single 'Rare'. Directed by James Arden, the band perform the energetic track amidst red animated effects by Alice Backham.

Los Angeles garage/punk band Death Valley Girls are set to release their new album 'Darkness Rains' on October 5th via Suicide Squeeze. The upcoming record is the follow-up to their 2016 LP 'Glow in the Dark'. The group has also unveiled the video to their single 'More Dead'. Directed by Dylan Mars Greenberg, the trippy video is packed with psychedelic effects giving it a kind of 70s horror film aesthetic with the band roaming throughout mountainous trails. Have a look.
