King Deco Unveils Her New Single ‘Castaway’

Back in 2014, Jordan-raised singer King Deco dropped her debut EP 'Tigris'. Since then, she has gone on to collaborate with Denver producer Illenium and L.A. band ROOM8. The NYC-based vocalist now shares her latest single 'Castaway', a mid-tempo, buttery indie-pop bit that contains an infectious tropical flair. While it's no question that the song is chart-worthy, King Deco is actually giving away the track as a free download which you can get via her Facebook page. Body & SOUL at Pacha MLK Weekend, Jan. 16th, New York City

This is also a farewell party to the iconic NYC club which closes its doors for good the following week. BEAU Share Cover of ‘Be My Baby’

Two weeks ago, New York duo BEAU shared their new song entitled 'Fire'. Now to round out the year, the girls have recorded and posted a cover version of The Ronettes' classic song 'Be My Baby'. According to their Soundcloud page, the track was a way of saying thank you to all of the supporters throughout the year. Their debut album 'That Thing Reality' is scheduled to land March 11, 2016 on Kitsuné. You can stream BEAU's take of 'Be My Baby' below.

Busta Rhymes & Q-Tip Drop New Mixtape

Back in 2013, Busta Rhymes and Q-Tip released their collaborative mixtape 'The Abstract And The Dragon'. A collection of past and present tracks, the project had many fans speculating a possible album between the two long-time friends. Although that hasn't quite manifested yet, what has surfaced is a new mixtape by the two entitled 'The Return of the Dragon The Abstract (Went on Vacation)'. While everyone is busy putting together a 'Best of 2015' list, we're excited about the albums that are forthcoming in 2016. One LP that we have been eagerly waiting on is 'MartyrLoserKing' by artist, poet and author Saul Williams. New York-based Williams recently shared a new song taken from the album entitled 'The Noise Came From Here'. Sampling the singing of an African tribe, heavy synths and thundering drums push from beneath creating a sense of urgency. Like the work of Williams' past, 'The Noise Came From Here' challenges any normality pertaining to the current music, keeping a strategic focus on something with a little more impact. 'MartyrLoserKing' is out January 29, 2016 via the Fader label. Check it out.

Kim Ann Foxman Remixes Beacon’s ‘Preserve’ Single

NYC-based producer Kim Ann Foxman is a connoisseur of making sexy and deep 4x4 grooves for the dance floor. Her latest remix of Beacon's track 'Preserve' is a testament to her talent. Although there is a dark and sensual factor to the tune, it also has an air of that classic Chicago feel. The remix is currently out now on the Ghostly label, with the original version appearing on Beacon's forthcoming LP 'Escapements', out February 5th, 2016.
