Boston rockers GA-20 have released their third studio album 'Crackdown'. Comprised of 10 tracks, that band delivers a stealth blend of blues rock, psychedelic, indie and more.
Last month Boston's GA-20 dropped their killer blues rock track 'Easy on the Eyes', which is taken from their upcoming third album 'Crackdown', out September 9th on Karma Chief Records / Colemine Records.
Paris-born, Boston-raised singer, pianist and composer Melissa Waikart is scheduled to release her debut album 'Hey, There' on May 27th via Northern Spy Records. The LP follows her 2019 live record 'Testing All My Memories'. Having already previously shared her single 'Diamond' back in February of this year, Waikart now unveils the title track to her forthcoming album.
Boston band Lick Neon step forth with their latest tune 'My Face Is Hangin' Low'. Taken from their debut album 'Be Good To Yourself', the cut is a silky and soulful bossa nova influenced tune that also embellishes some George Benson elements. Placing Slothrust and Brittany Spears in the same sentence sounds about as crazy as calling Donald Trump sensible. However, whilst one wouldn't immediately associate the Boston alternative band with a pop act like Spears, they have created quite the cover version of her hit single 'Baby One More Time'. Completely restructuring the cut into a swinging alt rock hitter 10 times better than the original version in our opinion, the song is taken from Slothrust's 'Show Me How You Want It To Be' EP of covers which also includes reworkings of Black Sabbath's 'Electric Funeral' and Al Green's 'Let’s Stay Together', just to name a few.
