Pixies Announce “Indie Cindy” Album

Pixies 2013-2014

It’s been almost 23 years since Boston band Pixies released their last LP “Trompe le Monde” in Septemeber of 1991. The band have now announced the release of a new album titled “Indie Cindy”, scheduled to land April 23 (Japan), April 28 (Europe) and April 29 (USA).

Comprised of 12 tracks, “Indie Cindy” is produced by Gil Norton and was recorded in Wales.

The recording process for the new album began back in 2012, however, bassist Kim Deal left the band six days in. However Simon Archer was recruited to play bass on the LP, with Jeremy Dubs adding some of the backing vocals.

Pixies drummer David Lovering states “New music seemed like something we just had to do, we just couldn’t continue to go out and tour without anything new. So the talk evolved into writing and recording, and we’re all very happy with the way everything worked out.”

The new album will be availabe in digital and vinyl format, as well as a deluxe, limited edition double CD or 180-gram vinyl that includes 13 tracks from their live concerts around the US.

Listen to the new Pixies single “Greens And Blues”.
