Athens singer Johnny Labelle has released his sophomore album 'XVIII' via Inner Ear Records. The record is the follow-up to his debut LP 'Cold Fruit' which landed back in 2019. With the new work comprised of nine tracks in total, one of the songs featured on the album is the dark pop tune 'Poseidonia', which Labelle has also shared a video for. Directed by Daphné Hérétakis, Sasha Streshna and Johnny Labelle himnself, the visuals feature the singer performing the track amidst psychedelic effects, giving the video a retro feel. Athens band Strawberry Pills, comprised of Valisia Odell and Antonis Konstantaras, are a pair that musically treads between coldwave, post-punk and minimal wave. They're slated to release their debut album 'Murder to a Beat' on October 30th via Inner Ear Records.
Greek producer Mikael Delta has shared the video for his beautiful single 'Art In Heaven'. Directed by Hior Chronik and shot in Berlin, the vid features Katarzyna Kafel, as she walks through the forest allowing her mind, body and soul to be aligned as one through the act of mediation and the power of prayer. That harmonious balance is reflected through those moments of peace as Kafel lays on the ground, arms spread, accepting all that is.
Athens artist Sarah P. has released a double single pack titled 'Plotting Revelations II' which features the songs 'Athena' and 'The Poem of a Clean Conscience'. Both songs are taken from her forthcoming LP 'Plotting Revelations'. 'Athena' is an upbeat and dance-powered splash of cosmic disco stacked with luscious production whilst 'The Poem of a Clean Conscience' highlights Sarah P.'s vivid songwriting and storytelling ability painted over a shimmering pop palette.
Athens collective The Callas will release a new deluxe edition of their 2018 LP 'Trouble And Desire'. Scheduled to land January 24th, the record will include three unreleased songs. The LP which featured Lee Ronaldo, was an extension of their collaborative soundtrack for Th Callas film 'The Great Eastern'.
