Athens band Strawberry Pills, comprised of Valisia Odell and Antonis Konstantaras, are a pair that musically treads between coldwave, post-punk and minimal wave. They’re slated to release their debut album Murder to a Beat on October 30th via Inner Ear Records. Drawing inspiration from the works of Agatha Christie, the LP will play like a murder mystery surrounding romance.

As the album release approaches, Strawberry Pills have also shared their latest single entitled ‘Porcelain Face’. Sonically stark and sinister, the steamy track is fosters that nostalgic feeling of classic post-punk with a coldwave layering reminiscent of iconic acts such as Siouxsie and the Banshees.

Touching on the single, Antonis Konstantaras mentioned:

“Love and hate walk holding hands in the dystopian playground that is the basement of a maniac. ‘Porcelain Face’ is (in our mind) an audio horror film set in the ’70’s and we treat it that way. It’s narrated by the perpetrator while the victim is caught in his/her web. What happens next? We don’t know, or do we?”
