Back in April of this year, Oslo artist Susanna released her Elevation which was in collaboration with Stina Stjern and Delphine Dora. An absolutely beautiful project, the record revolved around reinterpretations of poems from Charles Baudelaire’s The Flowers of Evil.
Susanna will now drop her forthcoming EP Elevation Extended, which features new songs and a fresh makeover of the title cut. Featured on the EP is her latest single ‘Come Avalanche’. The track plays out like a cinematic soundscape. Intertwining french vocals with eerie strings, moody piano play, and a batch of sounds that add a distinct haunt, ‘Come Avalanche’ is a moody piece that could also be placed on a soundtrack for a film.
Regarding her collaboration with Stina Stjern and Delphine Dora, Susanna stated:
“The three of us first met this spring. Despite the fact that we already had made the Elevation album together, that was some sort of a covid-recording, long distance exchange of music and files. So it was a joyous experience to actually meet in April and be in the same room. The result is this wonderful EP, and I am so much looking forward to play more together in the time to come.”
