Previously known to the world as Hanna & Andrea, Swedish pair Hanna Larsson and Andrea Kallström rebranded themselves shortly after under the moniker lennixx, releasing their ‘hapap’ record in 2018.

This year we saw a couple singles land from lennix which was the lead of to their new EP Split By. Comprised of six tracks, the duo bring forth an array of 90s nostalgic R&B and jazzy soul, whilst sprinkling couplets of pop on top. With the production embodying a retro warmth, lennix is tying together elements of the past and present, displaying their growth as artists.

Touching on the title song ‘Split By’,

“‘Split By’ is about when you’re in a certain situation with a person you can’t seem to get out of. Like, when you are with this person you change and become someone you’re not, because you go back and forth for so long not knowing exactly what you are. You’re basically stuck in limbo with this person.”
