We love the music of Aphex Twin but we love it even more when someone like Maceo Plex decides to do an edit of an Aphex track, and then gives it out as a free download. Here is the Maceo Plex remix of “Polynomial C”. While keeping the main important structure of the song, he slows down the BPM, adding a 4×4 drum kick, creating the feel of an ethereal house tune. The original, which was released in 1992 on R&S, fell into the range of breakbeat/drum and bass, which by the way, still sounds fantastic to this day. You can download the Maceo Plex version below.
