Swedish artist Joel Wästberg aka sir Was has announced news regarding his new album Holding On To A Dream. The LP is scheduled to land Sept 20th on Memphis Industries.

sir Was has also shared the lead-off single to the LP, titled ‘Deployed’. The tune features none other than Yukimi Nagano of Little Dragon. The song features Wästberg driving in more of a pop direction yet still incorporating bits of spacey electronica that is bubbly and soulful.

Touching on the single, Joel Wästberg said:

“Me and Little Dragon go way back. I’ve been hanging out with them for many years, and they were very supportive with my first album. One day I was working in my small studio room, and Little Dragon were one floor up. Yukimi knocked on the door and asked if she could listen. I played her some of my songs and she said, “This is great, go out and talk to the world!”
