London artist Anna Straker has released her debut EP Serious following a wave of praise and support over the past year by the likes of Huw Stephens and loads more. Consisting of four tracks, musically Straker weaves between pop, soulful electronica, r&b and more. The record includes her tracks ‘Late Night Swimming’ as well as her latest single ‘Desert Floor’. With a powerful voice backed by fearless production, it’s extremely easy to understand why she has been religiously championed by the press and fans alike. Serious is a delicious treat whilst we continue to see what the young singer, producer and songwriter has cooking in the oven as a main course.
Touching on her new single ‘Desert Floor’, Anna Straker wrote:
“Lyrically, ‘Desert Floor’ is my most powerful song. It taps into this metaphysical realm in my head where I can achieve anything. I don’t need the moon to make me glow! I want listeners to feel empowered. It’s my version of Voodoo Chile by Jimi Hendrix.”
Serious is out now.
