Having shared a number of singles this year including ‘Lose My Head’, and ‘Open My Door’, South African-born, Berlin-based artist Alice Phoebe Lou has released her new album Shelter. The record follows her 2021 LP Child’s Play.

Comprised of nine tracks, Shelter is a rich mix of hazy pop, chilled indie, folk, and jazz. Alice Phoebe Lou’s vocal performance creates a warm place of familiarity, that of greats more than double her age, yet maintains a youthful vibrancy that is utterly enticing. The production throughout the album is beautiful, keeping a spacious backdrop, proving that the ‘less is more’ approach can surely be the best option at times. This is another brilliant piece of work by Alice Phoebe Lou.
