Keeping in stride with a couple of remixes that singer SPELLLING released from her Portrait of My Heart, the Bay Area artist now unveils another rework, this time for her tune ‘Ammuntion’ which features Jean Dawson.

Whilst the original version was a buttery smooth r&b delivery, for the remix SPELLLING ups the ante with harder drums and moody piano work that is a beautiful palette for the now duet that her and Jean Dawson bring forth. This definitely lifts the track into new heights,

Regarding the remix, SPELLLING mentioned:

“[This is] ‘Ammunition’ re-imagined as the duet I always intended and heard it to be. We laced the original’s romantic R&B into a grittier, cathedral-of-synths version. A dark fairy tale turned electric. Jean’s voice is a mirror to the song’s strange soul; our outsider hearts collide. I think Jean channels that same retro-soul weirdness I grew up on, and our chemistry makes the love story feel more urgent. We lean into being beautiful misfits searching for refuge; co-produced and brought to life by Psymun.”
