Slender Pins’ ‘So Happy (90% Of The Time)’ is Anthemic

With the world seemingly in another chaotic time period, London’s Slender Pins step forth with an all-out rock anthem with their new single ‘So Happy (90% Of The Time)’.

Produced by Jon Hucks, ‘So Happy (90% Of The Time)’ bursts with explosive punk guitar riffs, thundering drumming, and an energetic vocal performance by front man Ash, who jumps between singing and spoken word. Looking at life through an optimistic lens, Slender Pins deliver a much needed ray of light that shines with brilliance.

Touching on the track, Slender Pins’ guitarist Alex stated:

“Thinking too much about the shortness of life and the vast, overpowering indifference of the universe generally leads to mixed results, at best. However, that is the feeling we attempt to commit to tape in this autumnal banger. Is it angst? Only if you let it be.

The song’s main riff came to me while brooding, weak and weary, on a train to rehearsal. Upon playing it to Ash he leapt immediately into the chorus and the rest of it sprung from there.”

Ash added:

“Life is a miracle, a glorious thing – ninety percent of the time. It’s the ten percent that will destroy you.”
