It’s been five years since New Jersey-based band Ruby the Hatchet dropped their album ‘Planet Space Child’. After giving fans a taste of new material with their single ‘Thruster’ back in August, as well as their song ‘Deceiver’ last month, the heavy psych rock outfit have now released their new LP ‘FEAR IS A CRUEL MASTER’.

Comprised of 8 songs, FEAR IS A CRUEL MASTER finds the Ruby the Hatchet delivering no holds barred style psychedelic, metal, space rock, and even prog rock thrown in the mix. Written during the pandemic, the new work deals with those moments of self-reflection during those moments of uncertainty. Fusing raw, hard-hitting arrangements with lush vocal melodies, the new record is stadium performance ready, bringing rock & roll back to it’s larger than life feel and sound.
