Rayowa Release Their Disco-Infused EP ‘Keepin’ Me Under’

Essex trio Rayowa have released their new EP Keepin’ Me Under. Out via Mahogany Recordings, the four-track record revisits the sounds of 70s glam disco, previously laid down by giants such as Nile Rodgers. Splashed with grand vocals and even horn sections, the EP provides that nostalgic feeling for those who frequented clubs like New York City’s Studio 54 during the genre’s golden era. Rayowa may not have been born during those early periods when funk and disco dominated that dance floors but they’ve definitely done their homework. Stream ‘Keepin’ Me Under’ below.

Touching on the EP Rayowa stated:

“These songs are about grabbing opportunity with both hands, relationship breakdowns, partying, cutting out toxic people, mental health issues and that constant cycle most people find themselves in; one day you’re alright and the next you’re anything but. This EP is a celebration of what it feels like to come through the hard times, to not quit and keep growing as people. It captures what our brotherhood means and how vital it is for each of us to function. We are the best of friends and would be completely lost without each other.”
