San Francisco Hip-Hop, Roots, Rock act Michael Franti & Spearhead will began their Australian tour starting April 17, 2011. Promoting their latest album “The Sound of Sunshine”, the band has managed to achieve commercial success over the last few years, with one of their singles Say Hey (I love you) from the album “All Rebel Rockers” reaching platinum. Known for a political edge in his lyrics earlier in his career, Michael Franti later began to put more of an emphasis on humanitarian messages and the promotion of global peace throughout his songs.
