Portugal-born, London-based artist Maripool is gearing up for the release of her debut EP It All Comes At Once. Forthcoming via Practise Music, the record lands October 14th.
Along with the announcement, Maripool has also shared her latest single ‘This Time Again’. A charming indie offering that is fostered by a juxtaposition between the music and the lyrics, the warm, feel good instrumentation is placed underneath slightly cynical lines.
Maripool has also unveiled visuals to coincide with the track. Filmed by Carina Simões, you can find the singer casually riding her bike through the park which it’s actually quite funny considering the tone of the content. Have a look below.
Touching on the track, Maripool mentioned:
“I wrote a really pretty sounding song and I wanted to take it to the extreme with the lyrics. It’s the kind of song where you wouldn’t expect to hear the words ‘I’d like to see you cry, I’d like to see you die’ but at the same time it also made total sense with how I felt. I wanted it to feel like you’re walking through a field of daisies but you’re also really angry.”
