London-based art and music duo MT. LOW made their debut last month with their single ‘Fade (Into View)’. Without wasting anytime, the pair have now dropped their new mixtape Lost Of Love. The project was inspired by their trip to Beatty, Nevada which is reflected by the spacious and ethereal production choices. At times embracing a more lo-fi sound and other moments encompassing an otherworldly building, Lost Of Love is a gorgeous piece of work presented by the up and coming band.
Discussing the inspiration behind Lost Of Love, MT. LOW stated:
“We had been so down, stuck at home and out of ideas that we pretty much pointed to a spot on a map and went there, documenting everything that happened on the way.
When we got back everything had changed, we began to see ourselves and our music completely differently, the isolation had a really profound effect on us. Travelling out into such a big empty landscape gives you a perspective with less of a hard edge, something wider and more spacious that you can take back with you and engage with in the creative process.”
