One of the wonderful things about music these days is the open-mindedness to collaborations. Many of the collabs that have surfaced throughout 2014 have been strange at times, and others pleasantly surprising. One of the latter comes from Cat Power aka Chan Marshall and Chris Martin of Coldplay. The two perform the title cut taken from the “Wish I Was Here” soundtrack. Marshall more or less takes the lead in vocals while Martin adds more of the backing to create one truly beautiful piece of art. You can listen to “Wish I Was Here” on NPR’s website.
