Aside from winning an FM4 Award at the Amadeus Music Award ceremony back in 2017, Austrian band Leyya racked up loads of praises for their albums Spanish Disco and Sauna. The pair now make their return with the fun and ultra vibrant track ‘Wannabe’. Fusing upbeat tropical production with infectious pop choruses, everything about this song represents summertime goodness.

Regarding the single, Leyya mentioned:

“After releasing our Second Album ‘Sauna‘ we tried to avoid the Post-Release-down with being creative and writing new music straight away. The song is circling around a problem almost everyone can relate to: Wanting to be like somebody else. Ironically – we find – its often also the other way around.”
