Keith Flint of The Prodigy Has Passed Away at 49

Keith Flint, front man of one of the most iconic electronic music outfits The Prodigy, has sadly passed away aged 49. He was found dead at his home in Dunmow, Essex, with the cause being attributed to suicide.

Known for his eccentric appearance, in your face vocals and energetic performances, Keith Flint brought a punk sensibility and attitude to electronica, defying the mainstream, which ultimately helped The Prodigy to consistently score Number 1 records. Their singles such as ‘Firestarter’ not only landed at the top of the UK charts, but also crossed-over in the U.S. market.

The Prodigy confirmed Keith Flint’s death via Twitter.

Entertainers and fans alike including The Chemical Brothers, Mary Ann Hobbes and more, took to social media to express their condolences.

The news of Keith Flint’s passing comes ahead of The Prodigy’s scheduled U.S. tour which was set to take place in May.

The Prodigy released their seventh album No Tourists in November of 2018, with the LP reaching Numnber 1 in the UK charts.
