Harvey Causon Shares His Spacey Single ‘Half Hour Verve’

Having carved out an imprint as one of Bristol’s powerhouse acts, Harvey Causon follows up his previous cuts ‘Fourth Wall’ and ‘Blind Eye’ with the shining track ‘Half Hour Verve’. The slow-burning, bass-shaking tune is powered by spaced-out synths, shifting drum patterns and shimmering, cosmic effects. ‘Half Hour Verve’ highlights Harvey Causon’s exquisite storytelling lyricism, something that is highly needed in music today. The single is taken from his upcoming EP Fourth Wall.

Touching on the track, Harvey Causon said:

“The song depicts a young woman having short bursts of energy (verve) for half an hour every day whilst being burdened with flu and not able leave a sofa for a week. A property developer man working in the building opposite turns out to be watching on through the rear window, myself as the spectator of this kept observing this man and his mannerisms and constructed his personality in my head. The song then goes on to remark that with regards to the global lockdown we’ve stepped ‘out of time’ and out of alignment giving way to large scale reflection.”
