Girls Name Unveil Their Haunting Track ’25’

Belfast band Girls Name have announced the release of their fourth LP Stains on Silence, out June 15th on Tough Love Records. What can be viewed as a triumph over uncertainty, the new album follows their 2015 record ‘Arms Around a Vision’.

Girls Name singer Cathal Cully said of the trying times before the new album:

“There was a finished – and then aborted – mix of the album, which was shelved for six months. We then took a break from all music and went back to full-time work. We chilled out from the stress of rushing the record and not being happy with it, as well as being skint with no impending touring on the cards and constantly having to worry about rent.”

Girls Name have also shared their new single ’25’, which will be featured on the upcoming LP. An eerie and slow-marching handing of engulfing post-punk, this could musically and symbolically be the sound of resurrection. Listen to ’25’ below.
